As you may very well have noticed, this movie has been out for a while...

Almost 20 years...

Yet it's still my favorite movie of all time, not because it was objectively great by any metric, simply because it was the right movie at the right time.

Clearly a great cast, Will Smith and Eva Mendes were fun together and Kevin James' clumsiness came in very handy.

It's a quintessential rom-com produced in the golden age of Hollywood homonym phase.

Sidenote - Matthew McConaughey recently described this genre in a podcast with Chris Williamson and he said something along the lines of : " these movies were always great for the studios, low budget allowed them to always turn a profit even if they underperformed but that didn't happen often."

It's easy to watch, easier to enjoy, simple and funny (viewer discretion).

Super easy to recommend, especially in these cold winter evenings maybe on the sofa with a hot tea.

How Would I Fix It ?

• i’m sure there are many ways to improve this movie, i just can’t see them.
