Indiana Jones and The Dial Of Destiny

Indi, this time, fails to entertain us...

Unfortunately, as we expected, this 5th chapter in the Indiana Jones franchise is just a half baked mess of nostalgia and old people.👴

We are presented with an old protagonist, accompanied by a young and uninteresting "sidekick", I'm quoting sidekick because her main role is to try and steal the spotlight from Jones, and a plethora of new and OG characters.

This movie had tons of potential, as I'm sure you all know. It had the power to link two generations and bring them all to the movie theater and that is an awesome thing. 😎

I personally went with my dad to see it, and we both were bored to death by this 2 HOURS AND 22 MINUTES thing.

The villain is played by the incredible Mads Mikkelsen, so you might ask how his interpretation of a Nazi physicist was? In a word, awful. To be fair I'm sure that if the script would have given him a chance to pull off something interesting he would've done a terrific job. (We all know he is a Great actor) however his villain is hands down the dumbest physicist that ever lived.🤣

Our protagonists and villain are all running around the world to obtain a special device that is REALLY important... We are given a brief description of it at the start of the movie and from that point till the end we are forced to watch them chasing each other and trying to complete this object to do something...😐

What I am trying to say is that it's hard to care for something when the only thing we have is a vague description of it and some pieces. This goes for characters as well. 💯

We need to see why stuff is important, and this is a golden rule of directing : SHOW NOT TELL.🔥

In summary it just felt rushed and done without care. It reminds me of the latest Marvel projects.🤣

How Would I Fix It ?

• Let's give a good amount of brain cells to our villain and make him a real threat to our protagonists. At least make him avoid stupid and useless decisions. 😊

• Show us why the dial is important, stop describing what it does and show us. 🙃

• Little extra points for having a kinda flawed woman protagonist, give us a little more flaws and a little more moral redemption at the end 💪
