Knox Goes Away
👍Keaton directing Keaton
As the (hopefully) funny subtitle should tell, this movie starring Micheal Keaton, is directed by Micheal Keaton.
And it's a great thing that it is.
It's a simple and linear story that shows us the life of a killer after he's diagnosed with a degenerative memory condition and his estranged son who commits a murder.
Keaton pulls off a really cold and calculated performance that makes us always wonder why he's doing what he's doing.
Al Pacino is sort of a mentor to Keaton's character and helps him during the whole movie.
James Marsden as the son is phenomenal, effortlessly delivering a loud and emotional performance, almost the polar opposite of his father.
And that's what I honestly think is the best part of this movie, their relationship.
Allows for a really well crafted script to get a grip of the audience and sympathize with both characters.
Let's not forget (pun intended 😂) that during this whole series of events Keaton is rapidly losing his memory and blacking out, just to add some salt to the pasta.
I wholeheartedly recommend this movie to any thriller fan.
How Would I Fix It ?
