Race for Glory: Audi vs. Lancia

It's a simple yet interesting true story about the famous '83 rally world championship.🏆

More specifically the battle between the all wheel drive Audi Quattro and the phenomenally fast rear wheel drive Lancia 037.🚘

The story is mainly told from the perspective of Lancia's team manager Cesare Fiorio, interpreted by a good Riccardo Scamarcio.

We see all the pressure that he's under throughout the world cup and the various tactics and difficult decisions he's forced to make.

One big fault is the speed (pun intended) at which the movie paces, many of the important parts of the world championship are just two/three scenes long and in turn that gives a less important vibe to all of them.⏳

Some of the dialogues feel a little off beat and weird for the characters to say.

All considered, this movie will do wonders for the rally niche, in fact I'm sure that 90% of the people at the theater watching it with me were enthusiasts.

I think that with a little more marketing this movie could've generated a good amount of cash, to put it bluntly, attracting a lot of casual/generic public.💯

How Would I Fix It ?

• The main thing here is that the movie is too short.

    Only 100 minutes, so let's add 30 and divide them in:

  20 minutes of racing and "carviews"

  10 minutes of further development of our protagonist to better understand all the pressure he was under. 😉
