Venom: The Last Dance
🤔Weird stuff...
Tom Hardy is back, unfortunately he's still attached to Venom...
Their relationship in this picture shows us that Eddie is an actually interested character, while Venom is simply and idiotic alien mainly there for comic relief.
The plot tries to be complex but ends up being convoluted and predictably linear, after about 10 minutes you can already guess the ending.
The CGI deserves a mixture of praises and insults, at times overdelivering and at times looking like a Minecraft let's play.
The dance scene, the one higlited in the trailers, is easily the most cringe moment...
It's an awkward attempt at humor that feels out of place and forced
Knull is poorly introduced (to say the least), and his overall menacing presence is immediately forgotten as soon as the movie ends.
Much like Thanos in the first Avengers movie, Knull is our 'Arc Villain' meaning a threat that would loom over the next movies until his own comes.
After a ton of bad jokes, you almost start to get the hang of it and have some sort of fun, at least I did, and that's the best compliment this movie will receive from me.
It's not an outright disaster but it's far far away from a must see.
How Would I Fix It ?
Venom needs to be a little more serious and menacing, without falling in the "stupid" trap.
Knull NEEDS a decent introduction, otherwise it will automatically ruin every next movie he's in as the main villain.
